Advantus provided energy assessment services for four wastewater treatment plants in western Pennsylvania as a subconsultant to Spotts, Stevens and McCoy (SSM). The services included an analysis of energy consumption, visiting each site to gather information and data, collecting an inventory of all significant energy-using equipment, developing energy conservation measures, and performing a high-level assessment for renewable energy. An energy assessment report was created for each facility in collaboration with SSM.

The assessments were provided through support and funding from the U.S. Department of Energy’s State Energy Program and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
