Advantus assisted Oxford Development in their pursuit and renewal of the WELL Health-Safety Rating at seven office buildings.

The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an evidence-based, third-party-verified rating for all facility types, focused on operational policies, maintenance protocols, emergency plans, and stakeholder education to address health and safety-related issues.

Advantus reviewed existing procedures, provided recommendations for improvement, and/or documented initiatives to all areas associated with the rating including but not limited to cleaning procedures, emergency preparedness and resources, and employee health-related policies.

As part of the rating process, Advantus, with the facilities staff at Oxford, reviewed the mechanical ventilation systems at five office buildings. In addition to a site visit, Advantus analyzed mechanical drawings, as-built mechanical drawings, rooftop HVAC and control submittals, HVAC operations and maintenance manuals, test and balance reports, and commissioning reports to prepare ventilation assessments. Advantus and Oxford worked with a balancer to confirm outdoor air rates and document modifications that have been implemented, including increased outdoor air and augmented operating hours to promote additional air changes.
